Streamcore named "Strong value" in EMA
STREAMCORE NAMED STRONG VALUE
IN EMA’S WAN OPTIMIZATION CONTROLLER RADAR REPORT
EMA Identifies Streamcore’s Solutions as
Most Worth a Closer Look Particularly for Managing Real-time Traffic
San Francisco, Calif.─March 14, 2010─Streamcore, the global provider of visibility and dynamic performance control solutions to manage interactive applications and real-time communications delivery over the WAN, today announced that Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) has named Streamcore solutions a „strong value“ in its Radar Report for WAN Optimization Controller (WOC) Solutions dated March, 2011. The report provides a comparative study of 13 different WAN optimization vendor solutions. Streamcore was specifically recognized as the vendor „most worth a closer look,“ particularly for its strength in controlling real-time traffic such as voice over IP (VoIP) and video.
„The vast majority of IT organizations are struggling to deliver acceptable quality of service for applications used by geographically dispersed network end users,“ said Jim Frey, managing research director at EMA. „Solutions such as Streamcore’s can really help enterprises gain control over network resources, improve bandwidth utilization and prioritize critical business applications over WAN links. Streamcore solutions will be particularly useful to enterprises that have a high volume of VoIP and video traffic.“
Streamcore’s solutions were also noted in the report to be highly flexible because, unlike other many WOC vendors, Streamcore appliances can be deployed asymmetrically for monitoring and controlling traffic. This capability was also mentioned in the report as key for optimizing traffic exchanged with third-party data centers or for any-to-any VoIP/video.
„We are gratified to receive these special designations in EMA’s latest report,“ said Frederic Hediard, vice president of product strategy at Streamcore. „This report helps IT organizations understand the various solutions available on the market and highlights Streamcore’s competitive advantage for optimizing VoIP and video delivery over any cloud.“
EMA is offering a free summary and the full report on their website.

Gartner, Inc. „2008 Polling Results Show That Data Center Network Managers Are Increasingly Being Tasked With Meeting Application Performance Goals“ (2008-Umfrageergebnisse zeigen, dass Netzwerkmanager in Rechenzentren zunehmend gefordert werden, Anwendungsleistungsziele zu erfüllen), Debra Curtis und Will Cappelli. 14. Mai 2009
